Labour and Ethics

MAPLAST CZ, s.r.o. is committed to creating a working environment where the human rights of workers and employees are respected, and where they are treated with dignity and respect. The company further commits that its management will adhere to the “Manager’s Code of Conduct” when entering into contracts and maintaining business relationships. Compliance with human and labor rights is also strictly required from our suppliers.


1. Voluntary Work

Forced labor is not tolerated within the company. All work is performed voluntarily, and workers are free to terminate their employment at any time.

2. Child Labor

Child labor is not tolerated within the company. A “child” is defined as a person who has not completed compulsory basic education, or a person who has not reached the minimum legal working age in the Czech Republic.

3. Working Hours

Excessive mandatory overtime causes undue strain on workers, which may lead to reduced productivity and increased risk of injury. MAPLAST CZ, s.r.o. monitors both overtime and regular working hours of its employees and will implement corrective measures in cases of excessive workload.

4. Wages and Compensation

Wages and compensation paid to employees must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those relating to minimum wage, overtime, weekend work, public holidays, and night shifts.

5. Humane Treatment

The company does not tolerate any form of inhumane treatment of workers, including sexual harassment, sexual abuse, corporal punishment, or mental, physical, or verbal abuse.

6. Non-Discrimination

MAPLAST CZ, s.r.o. is committed to creating a work environment free of harassment and unlawful discrimination. The company does not tolerate discrimination based on skin color, age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability, pregnancy, religion, marital status, political beliefs, or membership in any other specific organization.

7. Freedom of Association

Open communication and direct engagement between employees and management are the most effective ways of resolving workplace issues. Workers’ rights to freely associate, join trade unions, seek representation, and participate in works councils in accordance with local laws must be respected. Employees must be able to communicate openly with management regarding working conditions and management practices without fear of intimidation or harassment.

8. Business Integrity

All forms of bribery, corruption, extortion, and embezzlement are strictly prohibited within the company. All business dealings must be conducted transparently and accurately reflect the terms and policies of MAPLAST CZ, s.r.o. To ensure compliance with anti-corruption laws, all members of management have been trained in, and act in accordance with, the company’s “Manager’s Code of Conduct.”

9. Intellectual Property

Intellectual property rights must be fully respected within the company. The transfer of technology and know-how must be conducted in a manner that protects the intellectual property rights of both MAPLAST CZ, s.r.o. and its customers.

10. Fair Trade, Advertising, and Competition

Standards of fair trade, advertising, and fair competition must be observed. The company must provide appropriate means to ensure the accuracy and relevance of information about its customers.

11. Protection of Identity

The company must implement processes ensuring the confidentiality and protection of internal data of customers, suppliers, and employees. MAPLAST CZ, s.r.o. is committed to appropriately safeguarding the personal data of all parties with whom the company conducts business, including suppliers, customers, consumers, and employees.
